Over ten years ago, Applied Healthcare Solutions approached us with their idea – to create an audit system to help healthcare providers meet their clinical governance requirements, and replace existing paper-based auditing.

With sensitive data involved, Clinical Guardian has steadily adapted to meet evolving web security concerns while maintaining the performance that governance teams require to work effectively.

We have written scalable, flexible architecture that can respond to their complex needs, Thanks to a sensitive, thoughtful approach to database design and query construction, we can still boast that the average time to complete a simple select query is of the order of 0.003 seconds, despite holding over 40GB of records.

Secure backend

Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. The system is hosted in highly secure facilities incorporating layers of system and physical security. The system is based on the Microsoft technology stack.

Interoperability

Uses extracts from existing patient management software. Identifiable patient data is removed prior to upload to ensure cases are not attributable directly to individuals.
